It's kind of late, but it's here at last. It's probably too late to be
too useful for this referendum, BUT it's VERY Important for the
upcoming anti-marriage amendment. (And there _will_ be one. Do not
think there won't be. The fundamentalists already have the plans laid
out. They're waiting for the Supreme Court decision on our marriage
law. THERE WILL BE AN INITIATIVE EITHER WAY; they've said so, tho' I
don't have a reference handy. The only question is the marketing and
timing.

[please forward as you deem appropriate]

Tim Eyman is pushing a referendum to repeal the GLBT Civil Rights Bill
which just passed this year, after 30 years of trying. He has until
June
7 to gather the required signatures to qualify for the November ballot.

In 1994-5, Decline to Sign (Bigot Busters) was instrumental in
preventing
four anti-gay initiatives from gathering enough signatures to qualify
for
the ballot. It's time to do it again.

Veteran Bigot Buster activists Bill Dubay, Janice Van Cleve and Kent
Johnson are leading a Bigot Busters/Decline to Sign workshop as part of
GAY CITY UNIVERSITY on Sat., May 20, at Seattle Central Community
College.

Please consider joining this workshop and being part of an important and
rewarding effort to preserve equal rights in Washington State.

Details of Gay City University are at www.gaycity.org, where you may
register online. The workshop is called "How to Defeat Anti-Gay
Initiatives" and is being held during 4th period. Registration cost is
$35.00 for the whole day (which includes three other periods in which
you
can take workshops of other kinds), and lunch is free if registration is
received by May 15.

Thank you for your support!
